Dr. Majeed Nader

Phd. P.Eng.

Dr. Majeed Nader, P.Eng., is a licensed Professional Engineer with a Ph.D. and Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

He brings deep experience in engineering leadership, research, and mentorship, and is a founding member of Kurdish Professionals in Canada. Dr. Nader is passionate about empowering the Kurdish community through professional development and career support. He actively mentors young Kurdish professionals across Canada and contributes to community development through volunteer initiatives. He welcomes connections from those seeking guidance in engineering, academia, or career advancement.

Hasti Shwan

P.Eng.

Hasti Shwan, P.Eng., is a licensed Professional Engineer with over 14 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering.

He is a Ph.D. candidate and MBET student at the University of Waterloo, and founding member of Kurdish Professionals in Canada. Hasti brings expertise in geospatial technologies, stormwater management, and infrastructure resilience. As a proud member of the Kurdish community, he is passionate about mentoring young professionals and supporting Kurdish talent in Canada. Hasti welcomes connections from those seeking guidance in engineering, entrepreneurship, or academic growth.

Sardar Al-Barazanchi

Engineer

Sardar Al-Barazanchi is an experienced electrical engineer with over 15 years of international experience and two years working in Canada as a Process Service Technician.

He holds a Master of Engineering from Ontario Tech University, a Master of Science from Gaziantep University, and a Bachelor’s from the University of Salahaddin. Sardar specializes in process control systems, instrumentation, and industrial automation. As a dedicated member of the Kurdish community. He welcomes connections from those seeking guidance in electrical engineering or career development in Canada.

Muhammad I. Khider

Media & Marketing specialist

Muhammad I. Khider is a media and marketing specialist with over 12 years of experience in communication strategy, brand development, and audience engagement.

He holds diplomas in Hospitality and Business Marketing from Toronto institutions and a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Salahaddin University. A former student ambassador for Iraq, he has built strong international academic ties. As a founding member of Kurdish Professionals in Canada, Muhammad is passionate about mentoring Kurdish newcomers and helping them build successful careers. He welcomes connections for professional guidance, collaboration, and community support.

Sherwan Azad

Project Manager/ Organizational Leading

Sherwan Azad is a seasoned Project Manager with over 18 years of experience across the construction industry, NGOs, and the private sector.

Based in Vancouver, he specializes in project coordination, logistics, stakeholder engagement, and community development. Sherwan has a strong track record of leading cross-functional teams, managing complex schedules, and navigating risk with precision.
